About Me:
My name is Maxim Bogomaz. I was born in Odessa, Ukraine, and I came to study in England in 2016. I finished a Foundation Year in Law in the top five of the class and achieved an Upper Second-Class degree in Law at the University of York. After completing various work experiences and talking to legal professionals, I understood that a legal career is not for me. Reading various investing books and managing my investment portfolio made me understand that I want to do investing.
During my studies, I have completed various internships in VC firms and law firms. After this, I have worked as an analyst (intern) at an equity value-oriented long/short hedge fund, Caro-Kann Capital, focusing on special situations and compounder opportunities. At the moment, I am an analyst at Anker Capital, which is a long-only equity Switzerland based single-family office.
In my free time, I read books, play poker and do sport. My favourite investor is Philip Fisher and my favourite investing book is Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits.
